Our story

Hello! Im Diah, partner to the most wonderful man and mumma of 2 beautiful boys!

My creative journey began in the middle of lockdown, as a single mum in a small unit just trying to survive (and keep a little bit of sanity) during such an uncertain time. What started as candle making soon grew when I bought my very first Cricut machine, simply as a creative outlet and something that felt like mine.

Not long after, life shifted in the most beautiful way. I moved into a new home with my partner and invested in a laser machine and that’s when my creativity truly came to life.

I began creating special pieces for my first son, for friends and family, and eventually pieces that marked our own IVF journey as we welcomed our newest little boy into the world. Those moments showed me just how powerful the little things can be, the keepsakes that hold memories, celebrate milestones, and become part of your family’s story.

Creating meaningful pieces for life’s most special moments quickly became something I felt deeply passionate about. I knew in my heart that turning my little hobby into something more was the path I was meant to take which led me to take over The Finer Detail by Kim.

I feel incredibly grateful that this creative journey is where life has led me, and I’m so excited to be growing what once started as a small hobby into a beautiful business creating meaningful pieces for families just like yours.
